hear a tap on my window pane
i know that sound
as i look to the sky see my tears are falling down
it's cold in my heart all my emotions turn grey
a picture of you and me washing, washing away
if you're here than why do i feel alone
now the cracks are starting to show
i walk outside and everything's in sepia tone

(oh whoa) i'm just looking for some colour
in this black and white cloud i'm under
trying to find a little clarity before the darkness swallows me
and i'm praying for the thunder
clear the sky of this rain we're under
gotta lose the shadow over me
so finally i can see
colour, colour, colour, colour
colour, colour

now the heat on my skin's not the red i once knew
and the sound of your voice doesn't do what it use to do
with a masterpiece so unique
how could the paint just up and leave
so unfair to leave the canvas bare
that's not how it's suppose to be

can't feel the spring all on my own

every shade of you i truly miss
lets take a brush and start again
